2    The student demonstrates an understanding of the whole number system; recognizes, uses, and explains the concepts of properties as they relate to the whole number system; and extends these properties to integers, fractions (including mixed numbers), and decimals.   
A1C    property of one for multiplication, e.g., there are 24 students in our class. I want one math book per student, so I compute 24 x 1= 24. Multiplying times 1 does not change the product because it is one group of 24.
